Solar Cooling with a solar fridge & freezer
What is a Solar Fridge & Freezer?
A standard Fridge & Freezer runs on AC Voltage and needs 1200 Wh or more on energy per day. To run such a device with solar power you need a strong AC inverter, about 450 Wp of Solar Panels and a battery set with 500 Ah. It is not economical to run a standard Fridge / Freezer with solar energy!
The fridge & freezer runs on DC voltage (12/24 V) with a brushless compressor, no inverter is needed. The refrigerator is consuming only 150 Wh of energy per day. Thus the required solar system is a lot smaller with 70 Wp Solar Panel and about 70 Ah Battery. This solar Fridge & Freezer is optimized for solar system and is minimising the customer’s total system cost.
