Solar Energy Systems - Energy for off-grid areas |
Why choosing a Solar Energy System?
Your hotel/company/office/house/hospital etc. is located in a remote area without a grid connection - you need a diesel generator to power your loads. Those generators need a lot of fuel, maintenance and their lifetime is limited. Electric power by diesel engines is expensive: With a price of 1 US$ per liter diesel you pay 60 cent per kWh - and the fuel prices are rising quickly! If you consider maintenance costs and reinvestment for a new engine, you pay at least 70 cent/kWh! Meanwhile solar energy is not only cost competitive but cheaper in the long term: Assuming a minimum lifetime of 25 years for the solar panels your energy costs during this period will be about 50 cent/kWh - and no need to worry about rising fuel prices! | | If you do not have access to grid-power, a Solar Energy System is cheaper than any other form of energy. | AVAILABLE FOR RURAL AREAS, ECO LODGES, COMPANIES, NGO's, PUBLIC ORGANISATIONS, SCHOOLS, HEALTH STATIONS | | | | | PLEASE CONTACT US FOR A CUSTOMIZED SET-UP AND CALCULATION - WE CONSULT BEFORE WE SELL |
| What is a Solar Energy System? A Solar Energy System consists of the following components: - Solar panels that deliver electricity from the sunshine
- A battery set that stores the electricity produced by the solar panel and can deliver it at any time of the day.
- A charge controller that protects the battery from overcharging.
| A Solar Energy System works all the year round, without the need for any other power source. The Battery Set is designed to have at least 5 days autonomy, which means that even if there are five consecutive very cloudy days, the system is still able to work. We offer a variety of sizes from 20 W to 150 W and higher. |
| | | Sunlabob has installed very small solar systems for lighting purposes (Solar Home Systems, left) but also large solar arrays (see right picture). Our success so far: We have installed over 5.000 Solar Home Systems.
Sunlabob reaches every demand everywhere. | |
