Sunlabob and CSR Asia host business dialogue on Corporate Social Responsibility

On Apr 25, 2011, Sunlabob and CSR Asia hosted a business dialogue on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Sunlabob’s headquarters in Vientiane, Laos.

The dialogue session was targeted at business representatives with an interest in CSR and corporate climate change strategies, businesses engaging in sustainability issues, businesses in high impact sectors with an interest in improving environmental and social performance, and expert stakeholders working in sustainable development with an interest in the role of the private sector and partnerships with business for development.
Representatives from reputable companies across Laos had the opportunity to discuss challenges corporations faced with regards to CSR, and exchanged innovative ideas and best practices towards social innovation. Participants also had the opportunity to network and promote future collaboration with other participants.
The session covered key issues and approaches, CSR and the role of the private sector in sustainable development, poverty alleviation and climate change, and what role businesses take in climate change adaptation.
Sunlabob believes that responsible business conduct matters, thus it is involved in an extensive range of CSR activities, particularly engaging in environmental and social responsibilities.
